Michelle has over 25 years of leadership experience in municipal operations, community development, and strategic consulting, with a strong foundation in sport and recreation. A graduate of the University of Waterloo in Recreation and Tourism/Sport Marketing, Michelle has been involved in the planning and delivery of major national and international sporting events, including the Scott Tournament of Hearts, World Curling Championships, World Short Track Speed Skating Championships, LPGA duMaurier Classic, and Canadian Baseball Championships.
In addition to her professional career in government relations, emergency management, and project leadership, Michelle has consistently contributed to her community through volunteer and event roles that support athletes and sport organizations. Her commitment to sport is rooted in both her professional expertise and her long-standing passion for fostering opportunities that strengthen communities and inspire young athletes.
